Fright Fest 2020 set for October 31st in Darlington 

Fright Fest 2020 is happening in downtown Darlington, Saturday, October 31st, 2 p.m.-7:30 p.m. with a spooktacular fireworks display as a grand finale. This is a family event and will be a spooktacular fun filled day. The event will include carnival rides and eats, food trucks and beverages, DJ music, arts and crafts, bingo and prizes, trick or treat alley, costume contests, cake walk, car show and performance by Soul Sister Dance Team. Gospel in the Park series finale 

The art of great gospel music comes to a close on Sunday, October 4, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Pride Park, 630 S. 6th Street. The theme is Bringing Unity into Our Community. Live entertainment by Helen Miller Best, The McDuffie and many more. Wear your masks, social distance, bring your lawn chairs and an open heart. Christian Recovery meeting location 

Christian Recovery is now meeting at New Providence Baptist Church, 1884 Antioch Road at the corner of North Center Road. The meeting is every Thursday at 7 p.m. All those struggling with addiction and family members are welcome. For more information, call 843-992-5222 or 843-307-7193.

The Winburn family reunion has been postponed to a later date due to Covid-19 safety concerns. 

Hartsville Fire Department 

Hartsville Fire Department now has stickers you can put on your door or window at home to inform the fire department there is a pet in your home. You can come by Hartsville Fire Department at 111 S. 7th St. to pick one up. 

Darlington County Disabilities & Special Needs Board 

The Darlington County Disabilities & Special Needs Board of Directors meet on the last Tuesday of each month (except December) at 2 p.m. at The Scott Center, 201 Damascus Rd., Hartsville. Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue 

Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue, 3047 Patrick Hwy., Hartsville is a horse rescue ranch with a mission of rehabilitating and restoring abandoned horses to good homes. Good News Club 

Good News Club is an after-school Bible club held after school for about one hour one day a week filled with songs, games, snacks, and a Bible story at various elementary schools in the area: Carolina Elementary, North Hartsville Elementary, Thornwell School for the Arts and West Hartsville Elementary. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children in this club should contact their school for more information. Participation is voluntary and free.
