2020 Dixie Youth baseball registration Dixie Youth baseball registration will be held Friday, January 24th from 3 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, January 25th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, January 28th from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, February 1st from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Friday, February 7th from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Managers and coaches are needed. Christian Recovery meeting location Christian Recovery meets at New Providence Baptist Church, 1884 Antioch Road at the corner of North Center Road. First Presbyterian Preschool Rummage Sale First Presbyterian Preschool & Kindergarten will be having a rummage sale benefiting the school on Saturday, February 1st from 7 a.m.-1 p,m, Rain or shine. Concessions will be available.

Pilot Club of Hartsville Go Red for Hartsville Heart Health will be held by the Pilot Club of Hartsville on Friday February 7th at 12:00 noon at their club house on Lanier Avenue across from Lawton Park tennis courts. A lite lunch will be prepared. The Caregiver of the Year will be announced at that time. First Friday Concert Series First Presbyterian Church, 213 W. Home Ave., presents The First Friday Concert Series through April 3rd. Its a free thirty minute concert from 12-12:30 p.m. in the Church sanctuary. This is free and open to the public.

INSIDE GSSM South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics, 401 Railroad Ave., Hartsville will be hosting INSIDE GSSM on February 29th, 2020 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This is a free fun day for families to interact with the GSSM community and explore the campus of South Carolina’s only two-year, public residential and virtual high school for the advanced study of STEM. GSSM’s, ENGAGE GSSM’s Center for Science Education & Outreach, ENGAGE is designed to impact students through early interest and awareness of STEM studies. One four-week after-school ENGAGEMENT will be offered this semester to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Darlington County. ENGAGE will start on March 2nd-25th on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics at 401 Railroad Ave., Hartsville. Opportunities to connect with GSSM’s residential students who will serve as instructors and role models. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited to 15 students per session. Good News Club Good News Club is an after-school Bible club held after school for about one hour one day a week filled with songs, games, snacks, and a Bible story at various elementary schools in the area: Carolina Elementary, North Hartsville Elementary, Thornwell School for the Arts and West Hartsville Elementary. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children in this club should contact their school for more information. Participation is voluntary and free.
