Hartsville Farmers Markets Your Hartsville Farmers Market will be open on the second Saturday of each month. The event is Downtown on E. Carolina Avenue from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and features local produce, craftsmen, non-profit organizations, and fun food!

Screen on the Green Grab a blanket or a chair and meet up at Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way, for Hartsville’s free summer movie series. These events are free! Children and leashed pets are welcome. The movies start at dusk. In case of rain, Screen on the Green will be held at Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center. July 20th’s movie will be Miracle sponsored by The Children’s Group.

Free Mammogram Services The Best Chance Network, Invision Diagnostics and DHEC have teamed up together to offer high quality breast cancer screenings for free on Wednesday, June 19th from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Darlington County Housing Authority, 324 Bacote St., Darlington. Christian Recovery meeting location Due to construction, Christian Recovery now meets at New Providence Baptist Church, 1884 Antioch Road at the corner of North Center Road. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Their will be a Walk to End Alzheimer’s Event on Saturday, June 22nd at Pee Dee Health Care, 201 Cashua Street, Darlington. Cassidy Family and Friends reunion The annual Cassidy Family and Friends reunion will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church outside of Ruby in Chesterfield County, on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This is for the descendants of Benjamin Cassidy ca. 1784-1860 and his wife Barbara Bryant ca. 1785-1860 and associated families and friends including Clantons, Crowleys, Johnsons, Perdues, Roscoes, Browns, Wilkersons, and all others associated (relatives and friends). The food will be covered dish with plates, cups, and ice provided. Each family is asked to bring enough food to share and we will eat at about noon. The food in the past has been outstanding. City Council meeting Hartsville City Council holds regular council meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, found on the first floor of City Hall, 100 East Carolina Ave. Notification of special meetings is provided at least 24 hours in advance, and agendas are posted in the alcove outside of Council Chambers.
