New Market School Reunion Due to scheduling conflicts with committee members, the New Market School Reunion will be postponed until the spring. The reschedule date will be announced as soon as possible.

Hartsville Delta Sigma Theta Community Fall Festival The Hartsville Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents its community fall festival. The event will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. at The Butler Heritage Foundation (Butler High School) Gym on South Sixth St., Hartsville.

Simply Christmas Exhibit The Hartsville Museum, 222 North 5th Street presents Simply Christmas Exhibit starting Saturday, December 1st at 10 a.m. going through Saturday January 12th. Santa Claus will make a special visit to his workshop on Saturday, December 8th from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. following the 2018 Hartsville Christmas parade. This is a free event. 2018 Hartsville Christmas Parade The Hartsville Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 8th beginning at 10:30 a.m. starting at South Fifth St. and Carolina Avenue rain or shine. This is a free event presented by Downtown Hartsville, so come on out and enjoy the parade.

City Council Meeting Hartsville City Council holds regular council meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, found on the first floor of City Hall, 100 East Carolina Ave. Notification of special meetings is provided at least 24 hours in advance, and agendas are posted in the alcove outside of Council Chambers.

Jacob Kelley House Schedule The Jacob Kelley House Christmas open house will be on Sunday, December 2nd from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. The home will be decorated for Christmas as it would have been in the 1800’s. Holiday Open House, Centennial Tree Lighting City of Hartsville in partnership with Main Street Hartsville, will host Hartsville for the holiday season at the Downtown Holiday Open House and Centennial Tree Lighting. The city will come alive with holiday cheer on Thursday, November 15th from 6-9 p.m. Horse-drawn carriage rides and a chance of real snow make this magical holiday tradition one that you won’t want to miss.

Hartsville Memorial Library event The Hartsville Memorial Library, 147 W. College Ave. will show a family movie on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 4 p.m in the community room. Come out and enjoy the show!

Lunch and Learn and Childbirth Preparation Class Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, 1304 W. Bobo Newsom Hwy., is proud to bring their popular Lunch & Learn series the third Thursday of every month beginning from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. The Senior Scene will be the first Thursday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., also Living Well with Diabetes will be the second Thursday beginning at 6 p.m., and childbirth preparation classes will be the 1st Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Education Classroom.
