New Market School Reunion Due to scheduling conflicts with committee members, the New Market School reunion will be postponed until the Spring. The reschedule date will be announced as soon as possible.

Hartsville Delta Sigma Theta Community Fall Festival The Hartsville Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., presents its Community Fall Festival. The event will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 12 p.m.-3 p.m.

Veterans Day Celebration The Pilot Club of Hartsville will be sponsoring a Veterans Day celebration at Burry Park in front of the Veterans memorial on November 11th at 3 p.m.

Darlington County Cancer Support Group meeting The Darlington County Cancer Support Group will close out 2018 on the second Tuesday of November. Our “Fall Harvest” dinner meeting will be Tuesday, November 13th, at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hartsville, located at the corner of 408 Coker Avenue and Davis Street. The dinner will be in the fellowship hall. Please note the time change to 6 p.m. to help with night time driving. Brenda Davis, our relay Zumba lady, will entertain us with her beautiful singing. A donation of $5 per person will be received at the door. Also, as a Thanksgiving mission, please bring canned vegetables or non-perishables; i.e., flour, sugar, spaghetti or macaroni noodles, dried beans, peas, rice, etc. for Hartsville Interfaith Ministry. This meeting is for all survivors, caregivers, those who have lost loved ones, and anyone interested in learning more about cancer and its affect on families. City Council Meeting Hartsville City Council holds regular council meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, found on the first floor of City Hall, 100 East Carolina Ave. Notification of special meetings is provided at least 24 hours in advance, and agendas are posted in the alcove outside of Council Chambers.

Jacob Kelley House Schedule The Jacob Kelley House open house will be Sunday, November 4th from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Next will be the Christmas open house on Sunday, December 2nd from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. The home will be decorated for Christmas as it would have been in the 1800’s. Braeden Newman Benefit Dinner The Bethune Women’s Club, Hwy. 1 North, Bethune will be having a benefit dinner for Braeden Newman on Friday, November 9th beginning at 11 a.m. Plates include chicken bog, green beans, sweet potatoes, bread, and dessert. Holiday Open House, Centennial Tree Lighting City of Hartsville in partnership with Main Street Hartsville, will host Hartsville for the holiday season at the Downtown Holiday Open House and Centennial Tree Lighting. The city will come alive with holiday cheer on Thursday, November 15th from 6-9 p.m. Horse-drawn carriage rides and a chance of real snow make this magical holiday tradition one that you won’t want to miss.

Lunch and Learn and Childbirth Preparation Class Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, 1304 W.
