Auditions will be held Friday, September 15 at the Center Theater for The Columbia City Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker”. Local area dancers are invited to audition for William Starrett, director of the prestigious company, and have a chance to perform in the classic ballet that will be presented in Hartsville on December 1.

Dancers should arrive for auditions dressed in black leotard, pink or tan tights, ballet shoes and hair in bun. There is a $20 audition fee made payable to Columbia City Ballet. Audition times are 4 p.m. for dancers age 4-6, 4:45 p.m. ages 7-12, 5:30 p.m. ages 12-over. Dancers on pointe, please bring pointe shoes.

Brenda Cranford School of Dance will be hosting the event and rehearsals will be held at their studio beginning in November and taught by a member of the Columbia City Ballet. There are only four rehearsals and the ballet company will provide costumes for the dancers. This is a great opportunity for dancers to have a chance to perform in this wonderful Christmas classic.

Please feel free to contact Brenda Cranford for any additional information prior to auditions.
